I have two cisco 1750 and two cisco ata 186
I want to configure them to talk point to point.
    my network is like this.
    ata–cisco 1750 router–WAN–Cisco 1750—ATA.
Cisco 1750 are currently doing VPN between my sites.
Can I configure my ATA to communicate such that when I make call I dont use IP adress.
What will I have to do the routers to achieve that.

Can any one help me please in my configurations?
My other users dont know what IP is and to give them the system of
Name*IP*port seem to be tedius to them.

    thanks for your help

Looks like you will need a gatekeeper.A gatekeeper knows the I.P. address of each phone, and will let you dial a phone number instead of dialing the I.P.
Seems a lot of trouble for just two phones.
You could get a free software on the internet that will run into any old P.C. and act as a gatekeeper.
    Follow this link: http://www.gnugk.org
and do not get scared by all the mumble jumbo on the site.
There is a file somewhere that all what you need to do is load into your windows P.C. and runs on the background.

    Hope that that helps.

You can configure the cisco to hot dial as soon as you pickup the phone.

I’m trying to setup a prepaid calling card service, I have a question on how can I get an 800 number for my customers to call to my gateway, it just dont make sence that I get charged 4 cent/min every time a customer calls in to get connected. I’m sure providers of prepaid calling cards are not paying that rate and yet offering calls for 0.01 cent /min. can any one help me with this

    thanks
