disconnection problem…

    hi… what can cause a phone to disconnection in in less than 10 sec? i know there can be many reasons such as carrier’s pstn problems.. we have our voip network connected to carrier line… can a codec cause this? we use 723.1.. is a better codec recommended? can a full load of calls cause this?

    I have a similiar problem with VOIP using Nortel Networks. If anyone has experience with Nortel VOIP equipment, I would appreciate any help.

    If your getting connected, then disconnected after 10 seconds, have a look at the digital interface supporting the transport of the IP packets. Maybe you are taking line errors?
