We are just learning about voip in my Data Telecomms class. We were given the assignment of building (on paper) a WAN interent telephoney network for offices in DC, Richmond and Atlanta. We need to map the network and basic equipment parts. Can anyone direct me to sites where I can find diagrams or drawings of sample models to assist me? Thanks,

Well first you need to decide on which protocol you are going to implement either H.323 or SIP.

Then comes the speed of the internet connection you have… atleased a leased line of 64 or 128 kbps…….

If the above things are set…. you’ll have to look-in for the vendors who r providing voip solutions, like cisco….

You can find basic VoIP paper at http://www.webproforum.com

and the protocol specific papers …. try with google……
