    Hi,

    Does anyone has experience with NetCoder® as CODEC for VoIP GW?
    Some tests showing very high performance and quality of speach if VoIP GW use NetCoder®.
    How many GW can support this CODEC and why this is not widely used and implemented?
    Any suggestions?

    Hello,

    NetCoder it utilized in the iEnsembles by Flashline (formerly Vive).

    Perhaps it’s not widely used because it’s a patent of Audiocodes, but I’m not very certain about this.

    REgards,

    Seems because there have no NetCoder Codec definition in the RFC standard regarding the RTP package, and NetCoder is good for human voice only ( not good for music etc. ) in low bit rate mode;

    Vlasis is right the reason it is not more widely implemented is because it is proprietary to Audiocodes, hence limited in interoperability.
