We have one gw connected to the very good Internet and another one to
Internet where internet traffic inside of our country is very good, but
outside of the country the quality is varying.

Is it possible to route VoIP traffic from bad internet through the proxy,
which is installed on PC having good internet, so we could have a good quality? I
know there is an OpenH323GK software which allows to do that, but the gateway we’re using, CPM, is not

compatible at the gatekeeper level, so it won’t work. Could someone suggest a solution? I guess it’s acceptable to route through proxy only UDP traffic which contains voice, but how should I do that?

Quality is pretty much an end to end thing. i.e. it doesnt really matter:
-where a packet drops…just that it drops
-if i am using some sort of packet marking technique if its ignored
-if there is delay on one area vs another…just that there is a total delay of x
-jitter is huge one point of the network…just that there is jitter

Its only as good as the weakest link.
