Has anyone deployed VoIP using microwave as the throughput? I want to know the Quality of service for this type of technology

You can treat microwave technology as if it was a wireline link. Most well designed microwave links have the relaibility equal to or better than fiber systems – in fact many carriers use microwave as back-up to fiber because it is less expensive than a duplicate fiber link. The capacity can be limited to 150 mbps but for many apps, and for VoIP that’s not a problem. Many cellular carriers exclusively use microwave to backhaul their connectivity bandwidth to their host switch.
Any poorly designed system will mis-behave regardless of the technology – M.
