    dear pramod
the phantom RACH means that BTS sensing that there is command for channel (RACH request) but in reality this is not the real command from mobile may be it noise that make BSC allocate AGCH many times but with out (Acknowldge message ) which make it the Abis load raise

what is difference between bts and bsc in term of telecom and how it is works

it depends on the vendor, but usually it works like this :
BTS does the measurement preprocessing and radiolink control (radio link failure detection and radio link recovery), and in alcatel, it collects all the radio measurement statistics (from measurement reports and results)

BSC does everything else (radio resource management, ho preparation and detection, candidate evaluation, etc.)

    dear Pix
if preproceessing is done by BTS I know it reduce load in Abis interface but in the same time is there any thing that effect is on contrary with abis load or not
    thanks

no actually, i was wrong yesterday, the channel preprocessing (= averaging windows for the measurements) is done by the BSC… sorry about that.

The BTS only assemble the measurement reports into measurement results and perform the radiolink supervision. And of coure, all the radio signal processing.

    Hi,
Could someone help me out on the low CSSR at some sites due to message failure at NSS level. The call setup process would have passed the SD information handling level.how can one counter the message losses and how can one know which message is being lost,is it from the MS or from NSS.Please help

    kankamba,

you can have a pretty clear picture of the message counts by using qos counters. A QoS counter is counting a message.

Which system are you using ?

MAIO & HSN can be unique for a sector with a condition of more a TRX?

You should set 1 MAIO per TRX. It is certainly done automatically at hopping activation.

It is recommended to put different HSN for different cells, to avoid running identical sequences by to cells at the same time (the probability is quite low though, isn’t it ?)
