    Hi all,

Some subscribers in our network are facing with Call DISCONNECTION problem. When they have a call in progress (in most case this is an outgoing call), they cannot disconnect a call by pressing the END key in their mobile.

Could you give me some reasonable cause for this problem ?

    Rgds

Is this problem coming in all handsets or only in Nokia handsets?

    Hi Vijay,

Thanks for your attention. In most case this problem coming with Nokia handset, but some other case with other handsets too. And when the subscriber replace with other handset, the problem still persist.

Do you have any experience with Nokia handset? Pls give your comment for this problem.

    Thank you

    hi Misa

Did you do a signalling trace, ISUP or MAP trace? I think from the signalling tracing, we can see either the call has been discconect or not for example in ISUP tracing the call still in ANM status or has been sent a REL signal.

    Hi,
just check with your Netmonitor whether the call gets terminated.
I mean both ur RF TCH and MSC TCH assigned get disconnected. It could be a reason on delay.

    Hi Mohsin and MAHILCHI,

    Thank you for your comment.

However the problem occurs randomly at our subscribers, so we cannot make a trace by Netmonitor nor signalling trace.

May you give me other reasonable cause for this problem?

    Regards

    hi Misa

    some reasons or cause???

The cause might come from MT, BTS, BSC, or NSS itself. for example MT already sent a REL connection but MSC still in the conversation(MSC not give an acknowledgement to BTS then MT level)… So by hook or crook you have to do an analysis either signalling tracing, netmonitor or any tracing facilities in side MSC or BSC itself.

    to do analysis;
    1. may be you can get some information from the subsribers
    i) mobile type
    ii) exact location if possible.

Then you can run/execute the problem itself.-to solve the ‘random’ problem.

    2. Ask the vendor to do it.

    hi!
    Misa ,
usually this type of problem is due to REL Message not be send..
1> is the call within the SAME MSC or DIFFERENT MSC’S
2>has this problem started off lately , after some software upgrade or so..
3> which ISUP Masking you guys are using.
4> not the least can you tell us which vendor is the switch and BSC and BTS from..
