    Could you please explain me the following:

    “If you are using the SS7 links for ISUP, a general rule of thumb is to have 40E1s, per pair of SS7 links.”

    A single ss7 link can handle how many E1 links,with ISUP an ISUP call is usally made up to five messages of 40Bytes each on average.
    will you plz tell me the exact figure.

    I got one answer from my friend that one ss7 link using ISUP can handle 960 voice channels = 32e1 links.
    but how i don’t know.

    why there is 7 in “SS7”. i mean what is the significant of this number seven here?

    ITU (previous CCIT) had defined a few signalling systems (Nr. 5,6 etc.) Last version of signalling-SS7 had number in orded 7.
    I think it is meaning of number 7 in own name SS7.

    I have a questions regarding your SS7 calculation.

    1. How octet in IAM messages counted?
    2.Why only IAM, not till RLC?
    3.you used 64Kbps as reference, but in culcation you used 56000 b/s?
