Pls give definations of Answer seizure Ratio & Call success Ratio with examples. that is with some numbers which will explain both .
19th December 2003 at 18:06 #36904Balakrishnan S NaickerGuestI think anwser siezure ratio & call success ratio might be same. Please carify me , if i am wrong.
Answer Bid ratio = (Number_of_answered_calls/Number_of_Bids) * 100
Answer Seizure ratio = (Number_of_answered_calls/Number_of_siezure) * 100
where
Bids = Call attempts
Siezures = Attempts which got/sieze the connections
Answered = Attempts which got the connections and anwsered.21st December 2003 at 06:17 #36905shivanandGuestThank you very much
Mr.Balakrishnan.30th December 2003 at 11:51 #36906SujeeshGuestASr and CSR are deffent.
ASR=Answerd calls/ Seizured calls
If you have ofer flowin your trunks you shold add that aslo along with sezures.CSR=Call success/Call attempts
normally in anetwork CSR will be 97%.But ASR will be between 30to 50% only. In my netwok i observed CSR of 98% and ASR 35%30th December 2003 at 11:55 #36907Balakrishnan S NaickerGuestHi Sujeesh,
Thanks for your clarification.
What I understood your reply is Call Success Ratio is nothing but ABR. Pleas correct me, if i am wrong. Thanks.30th December 2003 at 12:21 #36908SujeeshGuestHi Balakrishna,
What i mentioned as CSR is call setup success ratio.30th December 2003 at 16:26 #36909Balakrishnan S NaickerGuestHi Sujeesh,
When do you say a call is success,
(i) if an attempt gets the connection
(ii) if an attempt is answered??In the 1st scenario,
CSR is not ABRBut in the 2nd scenario,
CSR=ABR.Please clarify me in details, if I am wrong.
31st December 2003 at 10:57 #36910sujeeshGuest1 st case.. calls get connection .
In wirless senario , If BTS receved SERVICE CONNECT COMPLTE MESSAGE message from MS and it(BTS) should send ack for this meassage to MS3rd January 2004 at 14:18 #36911shivanandGuesthi Sujeesh & Balakrishnana
Thanks for the Discussion threads,I think the idea is a bit clear now abt CSR related to BTS & MS in a wireless network.
But what about CSR & ASR in CCS7 network ?
Because though the CSR at BTS end is 97% call failure is lot especially Call drops especially on 31st of Dec. that is I believe MSC resources were not available that is SM’s in this cases for CCS7 what should be the definations?
I am working as Traffic analysar.
