I have some cells in my network with voice capacity 5 to 6 erl and the traffic carried by them is >20 erl that means they have voice utilisation >300% now i can understand Utilisation uptill 200% with the effect of Half rate tunning and perhaps little more than that owing to the 2% GOS theory but in these specific cases the HR is less than 100% itself and even Tch and SD blocking is not that high upto 1-2%. Can anybody tell me about this phenomenon that how does voice util reaches >300% with all these stats.
it’s just not possible (..yet.. VAMOS might change that a little)
so i would first suspect a KPI issue :
– check the formula,
– check how it is aggregated,
– ensure you’re looking at hourly values and not daily values (sorry! have to be sure),
– check the raw data and counters definition,
– check that all raw data are properly retrieved by OSS.
If all this is correct, then open a fault report to the vendor.
