sure u know half rate which divide the time slot into to parts,the VAMOS technique divide the time slot into 4 part
now ,i need to calculate the available TCH when we apply this technique and whats the side effect of it
Ok, you’re right, basically you can double the cs channels.
The effect will be some additional interference, I suppose.
But if someone has more experience about that, I am interested in his feedback too.

Tipically in average radio conditions you would get a 20/30% of increase in capacity. Because you need couples of of mobiles with similar radio conditions to be paired in te same hr channel. This situation is no always achieved so practically you are not going to double your voice capacity
You will need new abis features and upgrade your BSCs with packet gateways
