Hi, wondering if you might be able to help me out.
If I have SIF (TX and RX) octets, SIO (TX and RX) octets and MSU (TX and RX), how woud I go about calculating total number of bytes.
I’m trying to calculation SS7 link usage.
thank you in advance

searching through some old messages I’ve found this
The SS7 Links Load (Percent)=(Signaling Octets +MSU*6)/(8192)
so would that mean, I add up all my (TX SIF, SIO and MSU*6)/8192?
wondering why the *6 and /8192 figures are.

can someone confirm this calculation please?
for 64k=[(total msu*8) + (sif +sio octets)]*8/64000/3600
for 56k=[(total msu*8) + (sif +sio octets)]*8/56000/3600
