    Hi All,
In my project am using the Codec type as CSData(fax call).
Am using RTP Protocol for pack and unpack the payload.
am cleared about the header, but am not clered about format of payload. is there any conversion used??

    thanks in advance.

    hi balu,

what do you mean “conversion” ?
there will be a “coding” of your data as specified in 3GPP 45.003, which will tend to increase the protection of your data in order to face the brutal trip through the radio path.

hi pix, thank for reply. i gone through the document 3gpp45.003. my doubt is
    1) Let us suppose Channel type is speech, channel is speech. for radi ointerface to BTS Conversion is TRAU we can use it..
    2) now channel type is data in GSM only. it means Circuit switched data( Fax call ) am doing.
in this case also we need to pack the RTP Packets. what is payload for data transfer.
what type of Conversion used for sending the DATA, radio interface to BTS.

    Best Regards
    bala
