Hi Experts

Does anyone happen to know if there is any tool or free utility which can help us find the adjacent neighbour cells for given GSM cell sites without finding it manually.

Is there any way in mapinfo if we use SOL select query for those given sites and total site database, then use some (function) spherical area and within(operators) and can loop or nest them somehow i don’t know actually m nt sure enough.

Anyone can help pls???

hi deepak,

indeed, you need to use a mapinfo function to do that. But I don’t know which one. You should go to mapinfo forums and find your answer there I’m sure.
If youa re using NPO (in ALU systems), then you can find such a tool, called adjacency wizard 🙂

Thanks for the input, i am with ericsson and we have here MCOM tool which does find the neighbours by providing the OSS BSC dump, but it is possible only for the live GSM sites. Actually my query is for some 50-60 odd planned sites and then finding their neighbours.Anyways i will surely google for some mapinfo forums .
