    Hi,
Am using Huawei BTS in our network. we are using 3 TRX in 1 sector. ie.,BCCH TRX having 40w & Non-BCCH TRX having 20w.Is any major problem in SDDCH assignment & drop problem due to TA variations between 40w & 20w TRXs?

    rsk,

is this configured as a concentric cell ? with an inner zone and an outer zone ?

otherwise, if it is a “standard” cell, then all trx are probably transmitting at the same TX-Power (20W) It means that the BCCH TRX is being attenuated automatically by the BTS, so that MS are not experiencing different RXLEV among different TRX.
As you said, having “unbalanced TRX” would lead to serious problems in your KPIs (unless you are using concentric cells)

    regards

Thanks PIX for your reply. Its not a concentric cell. Both are 900 Band TRX.To improve coverage as well as capacity (instead of 2 its 3)

you will not improve coverage by adding a 3rd trx, unless you define this cell as “concentric”.
