Ec/Io Vs C/I…

    Hi All,
    I hv a question: Is Ec/Io or Ec/No similar to C/I in GSM?
    If not, then why? both is the Interference ratio…
    Plz Explane..

    hi malay,

    yes, they are similar.
    but the “range” of values are difference. In GSM for example, C/I goes from 0dB to 40dB. A good C/I is > 9dB.
    With Ec/No and Ec/Io, the ranges are different. One of them is negative (forgot which one)
