I want to know what is the best EDGE throughput that you guys have achieved in order to compare it to mine which is 220kbps

Smart,

yes, 220kbps is the max you can et on the field. Theory says 236kbps, but due to signalling blocks and multiplexing with other users, 220 is the best I ever managed to achieve.

You can also get a MS class 30-33 phone, which will get you 5 DL PDCH, which is max 295kbps (in theory).

by default, networks do not support the 5 TS devices, unless told otherwise. So your 5TS device is probably seen as a 4TS device by the BSS.
