    What does a 2+2 link mean?

    Usually the x+y in microwave link related topics, refer to protection configurations.
    1+0, one carrier without protection path.
    1+1 one carrier with protection path
    2+0 two carriers without…
    2+2 two carriers with.

    For instance a 2+2 could mean two 1+1 links configured with cross polarization.
