    Hello,

Has anybody incountered a background water noise (glouglou for the French) during a 3G call with ALU Node-B? We experience this effect from time to time and it does not seem to be related to multi RAB, hard HO or anything else. From time to time (like one every 50 calls) this sound appears and the call has to be stoped because you can’t hear anything anymore.

    hi maxim,

the problem starts during the call ? the voice was ok, and then suddenly, the noise starts ?
what about radio quality measurements ? are they good ?

The problems start at the beginning of the call and the sound is present for the whole call. The noise was reproduced also in the Operator’s building where radio conditions are very good. We suspect a cyphering problem.

i would suspect that a call is randomly placed onto a physical resource (between RNC and core network) which is not properly configured. The same as a one-way call.
Ciphering problem should not happen randomly, I think…

does it happen on all brands of MS ?

did you configure E1’s link somewhere ? perhaps one timeslot of those E1’s is configured to carry signalling, whereas it carries traffic in reality.

The “randomness” of the problem is a lead 🙂

Circuits between RNC and Core network(Core is H//) have been audited and OK. This problem just came up also on Ericsson RNC and H// core.

    Hi,

We have also noticed this issue and still could not find a solution. The issue occurs in good radio conditions too. This seems to have in Both 2G/3G, but most frequently in 3G. Have you guys got any update on this?
