    hi,
we have implemented Co-BCCH in ZTE cells. Congestion is better after change but HO succ rate is bad.

Can anyone suggest, what might be the problem?

    hello support,

what do you mean by “co-bcch” ?

usually, co-bcch refers to two neighbour cells using the same bcch ARFCN, and is therefore something that one tries strongly to avoid.

On the opposite, you seem to rather enjoy it. I suspect you are either sabotaging your own network (:-) or using this term incorrectly.

do you mean “multiple CCCH timeslots” ? or colocated cells ? or multiband cells ? or SFH 1×1 ?

    regards

Pix is right and its an error if we have co-bcch cells and HO success rate will be bad due to it, is it ZTE iBSC or V2 where you have implemented it and where exactly in ICM

ya, colocated cells…single BCCH in two cells, 900 and 1800

    hi “support”,

so i assume that before, you were having only 1 band, the GSM 900.
And now, you added a second layer of cells, in DCS1800.

You will have to optimize the parameters that control HO and Reselection between GSM and DCS. That is something that is dificult to do and that requires perfect knowledge of algorithms in your system. ndeed, those algo are very “proprietary”.

If you were using ALU I could help you.

    Regards
