    Hello team

I have some cells wich have high trafic in my ALU network.
So I dicided to install ANY combiner in order to add more than 4 TRXs on the sector_1, since the two sectors( 2&3) are not full in TRXs.
But the issue is : after the installation of ANY, the trafic decreased : it becomes 10Erl instead of 33erl.
Does some one can help me please ?

    Hi JO,
Using the ANY will lose 3.3dB. You can check if the coverage of this cell becomes narrow by drive-test.

    Hi JO,
in order to keep traffic as before, remove ANY and activate HalfRate. ANY gives additional attenuation. Therefore the coverage decreases, hence, traffic decrease.

In addition of what Rex said after activating the HR and you still have congestion try moving some traffic to the neighbor cells.
If the cell is on a isolated area and the congestion still continues decreasing the HR threshold

    Hi
Thank you for this; but I want to use ANY on the sector_1 because it has 40 Erl and the 2nd and 3rd sectors have each 5 Erl.
    It is an Isolate cell.
Can you tell me more please ?

I think its better to remove any activate HR and set HR threshold to 40% but If you want to use ANY than
install a bigger antenna with TMA so you can gain some dB

    Jo,

Are you familiar with NPO and the RMS indicators ?

If yes, then check (before and after ANY installation):
path balance of TRX –> to check if your ANY is functionning properly.

average rxlev per trx, in DL and in UL
    average timing advance per trx
    and more interestingly
vector “rxlev per TA and per sample”.

with these indicators, you’ll have a very clear picture of what is happening on the radio.

    regards
