    Hi all,

    Why SDCCH channels in 1800 band on cell MBC(900-1800) doesn’t take any traffic? CHGR=0 900, CHGR=1 1800.

    Hi NJ

Does the problem occur on all your cells or only a few?

    Hi Sheldon,

It happens for all sites MBC,
    My Command is:
    RLACC:CELL=xxx,CHGR=1,incl,sdcch=x;
    CHGR1 :1800.

    Hi NJ,

If it’s happening on all MBC sites, then it’s definitely a problem with your MBC parameters. Which band is UL and which is OL?

Check and make sure that BCCD is set to yes on the 1800 channel group (use RLCHP).

Also check your channel allocation profile (CHAP) to make sure you have not excluded any of the subcells from Immediate assignment. (CHAP 5,11 or 12).

    Regards,

    Hi Sheldon,
I ve changed to YES the BCCD on CHGR1 (OL,1800).
The CHAP for all MBC sites =10, Could you tell me the right value?

    Thanks and regards

    Hi NJ,

    Sorry for my delayed response.

Apparently, immediate assignment can only be done in the BCCH frequency band in a multiband cell (according to ericsson).

This probably accounts for your problem.

Contact ericsson support and see if they can help you out.

@ SHELDON: Normally this is the case with other vendors as concentric cells only SDCCH is defined on BCCH band as that defines the coverage? however in Erricson there is a stat as well as allowance for SDCCH_Congestin (UL/OL) what does this signify?

    Mania,

Yes, it makes sense to put your SDCCH on the BCCH band. However, I find it difficult to understand why there should be a restriction.

I think the stats you mentioned only apply in the cases where you have ONLY UL/OL subcells, but not a multiband structure(remember UL/OL cells does not necessarily mean multiband cells).
