Pawa Guest
Hi dear experts!
I have a question, just can’t understand…
For TBF Establishment Failure we have the following reasons (some of them):
1) Abis congestion – lack of Abis res
2) Ater congestion – lack of Ater res
3)TOO MANY TBFs – too low number of available GCH compared to the number of TBF’s
Where is the logic? As far as i understand, lack of Abis resources means too low number of GCH on Abis to serve the new TBF.
So, I’m confused…
Please, help to find out hte truth…

hi pawa,
They are very related, but based on different mechanisms. Altogether, it is congestion on the Abis/Ater link.
1/ Abis congestion:
the number of GCH that can be established is < Nb_GCH_FOR_TBF_ESTAB
2/ Ater congestion:
the number of GCH that can be established is < Nb_GCH_FOR_TBF_ESTAB
3/ Too many TBF:
The number of GCH available to serve the DL TBF is < Min_Nb_GCH.

how i should start TBF connection in TEMS when i want do data test?

Hi,
Define your phone as a modem for your computer, and download pages and files on your computer. Your phone will act as a GPRS modem.
The TEMS software will then trace all the GPRS activity of your MS, and you’ll see TBF establishments, reselections, and so on.
Cheers
