    Well guys,

Since posting here and other places I have gleaned alot of info. Two weeks ago I knew nothing about telecoms and PBX’s and now I am logging calls on my laptop.

What I need now is pin configs for serial connection to SMDR in order that I can link to PBX’s to capture data output’s. My most urgent ones are the NEC IPS Lite and the Siemens Hicom 100e.

If any of you have pin config info then please send it my way.

    Thanks!!

Do not know actual pin outs. but you could figure it out with a breakout box in about 5 min

    That sounds interesting Seth.

Sadly though I have never heard of a breakout box 🙂 Could you be kind enough to explain what it is where I can get one and how much it would cost.

    Thanks for your help!!

did a quick search on Yahoo for (“Breakout Box” AND SMDR) and found the following links. I believe the second one actually has a place to order a breakout box. But they have some tech info and the RS232 interface info..

Not sure if this will help but if you Yahoo or Google for Breakout Boxes, you will find a ton of info.

Can you give me an idea on how to capture the data coming from the SMDR? Thanks in advance.
