Energy Saving Mode for BCCH TRX reduces electricity consumption by reducing the transmit power of the BCCH TRX. The dummy bursts on idle circuit switched channels of the BCCH carrier are transmitted at 2 dB lower power level. Additionally, the feature enables a 2 dB dynamic power control on active dedicated circuit switched channels of
the BCCH TRX.
