Hi all
My operator try to active Gs interface but there were some problems with MS class-C (can not make/receive a call after 3-4hrs), anybody know this issue? thanks

class-C devices are pure packet device, they cannot make call. (like a EGPRS-dongle for the computer, etc)

what do you mean by “class C” ?

your problem looks like the combined LA/RA update is not working. Maybe the VLR does not receive the periodic LU from the MS.
Therefore the MS are detached from the VLR.

MS Class-C, defined in 3GPP TS 22.060 , can be used for packet and circuit.
Currently i’m testing with Samsung SGH-S500, which is Class-C device, it can associate with SGSN and MSC (combined LA/RA update), but after 3-4hrs it can not make or receive any calls.

Well, anyway, I can’t help you about this… Can you check in the VLR what is happening to these MS after 3 or 4 hours ?
