Hi All;
I am upgrading a site that is just EFR to AMR. It will be set to slide from AMRFR to AMRHR. But I dont know how to plan for this? Can I plann for 2 times as many erlangs on the site? or 2 times the capacity? Any help would be appriciated.

hi,

yes, that’s it. when you apply HR in a site, when the cell is loaded, the traffic is carried in HR. When the cell is unloaded, the traffic is carried in FR.

In HR, you double your capacity in channel numbers. The erlang capacity more than double.

Ensure that all your TRX in the cell are set to “dual rate” configuration, instead of “full rate only”.
