    Hi,
    im a student learning cellular communications. pls help me with this problem…

    How can the traffic be more than the number of channels avlb? Like in the erlang B table, at higher GOS, the offered traffic is higher than the number of channels availabe! How is this possible??

    Pls help to explain!

    hi,

    the traffic in the erlang table is what is “incoming”.
    With a GOS of 50%, it means that 50% of this traffic is NOT carried : it is rejected.

    For example:
    offered traffic = 60erl
    GOS = 50%
    # channels = 32

    The 32 channels are carrying only 50% of the 60erl.

    (values used are just for illustration, i didn’t check the erl table)
    regards
