When the FACCH is used, there is a steal of TCH,
How many Time SLots are replaced by FACCH?
I saw somewhere, that in order to don’t feel a break in the communication, the 20ms sample of speach ( 8 time slot if second level of interleaving)is repeated by the Transcoder.
Does it means that 8 time slot are replaced by FACCH
And I presume that FACCH used the signaling frequency
So it means that the handset repeat the same sample of speach, but during this period the MS use signaling frequency to send or receive FACCH
Is that true?
facch takes 4 brusts per channel.
we are using this for handover purpose,
we handover takes place 1st we send facch for tch allotment in another location. but facch takes 4brusts so voice breaking takes place. thats why we mould the normal brust as 1/2 voice and 1/2 facch, so facch takes 8 brusts.
