    Dear

    Please explain ALU parameter
ACG RED Factor high ater usage
    (75*0.01)

    Thank you

    Hi,

    Perhaps this one : GCH_RED_FACTOR_High_Ater_Usage
    def: 75%

The GCH reduction factor applies to the new PDCHs which are used when the Ater usage is “high”.
In other words, when Ater is “high” loaded (above Ater_Usage_Threshold %) then a PDCH can only get 75% of the GCH it requires to transmit at full throughput.
1 PDCH usually requires 4.5 GCH (to be able to get MCS9). In case of Ater hi-load, then it will only get 3.375 GCH (which should give a allow MCS 6 max, I guess ?)

    I hope it is clear…

    Thank you master,

    need your comment

when get bit of Ater congestion
and need improve throughput, may i change this parameter

    BSC : Ater_Usage_Threshold >70%

    or

    cell level :GCH_RED_FACTOR_High_Ater_Usage >75%

    Thank you

    hi,

no no no, if there is Ater congestion, you will never be able to improve throughput.

These parameters you mention are only useful if you want to decrease Ater congestion while accepting to decrease throughput.

The only solution is to remove the Ater congestion. And the only way to do that is to install additionnal Ater-PS links.

If you cannot install them, then the congestion cannot go away and you cannot increase the throughput.
