Hi,

What is the standard positioning of the mast( 4 legged or 3legged) in relation to cardinal points?

We currently have a lot of azimuth correction to do on sites but it proves tricky as mostly it flashes on the beam of the mast.

what do you mean by “flahing on the beam of the mast” ?
you mean the new antenna orientation (azimuth) is actually impossible to achieve on your mast ? the main lobe would intersect with the metallic structure ?
then perhaps the next sector should cover that azimth instead, no ?
an azimuth correction should usually be about + or – 15° at most. Here, it sounds like you want to re-azimuth in a totally different direction… on all your sites ? For what reason ?

not really, just want to know the standard way of positioning a mast so that it will be easy to manipulate the antenna azimuths later. should 1 leg of the mast face north and what angle?

How would you handle it if the Mast is a single pole with 3 sectors?

What do you have in mind, magnetic North or true North?

i’d go for magnetic north, that ought to keep the workers busy for a while, as magnetic north is always on the move :))
