Hi,
I wanted to know why in Nokia Intracell Handovers due to DL Quality take place but not due to UL Quality?
Also, can anyone give me an example of an intracell HO due to bad DL Quality? Is the call shifted to a different timelsot/band?

Hi DarkKnight.
Intracell Ho takes place in both cases.
Intracell HO has an algorithm which works like this.
1.First change of frequency group,like from OL to UL(different band) or from BCCH to non-BCCH(hopping to non-hopping).
2.If not found,between TRX’s of same band or hopping group(same MA list).
3.If not found,different TS of same TRX.
