why do we consider RXQual in DL Level HO

    Can any one plz clarify that why do we consider RXQual if we are talking about Level HO which has nothing to do with Quality (if i’m not wrong)

    the handover algo are very dependant from the vendor…

    I think you r talking of Huawei systems,If that is the case Level Ho doesn’t consider RX Qual.Level HO specifies whether the layered hierarchical handover is enabled. Cells are set to different layers and different priorities to implement the layered hierarchical handover. Then, based on the layers and priorities, calls are handed over to the cells with high priority (priority is related to Layer of the Cell and Cell Priority).

    In Alcatel systems,

    the HO Lev takes place only when Lev is bad and Qual is good. There is indeed a check on the Quality.
    But that’s just because in case of Bad Qual, it is the HO Qual which is triggered.

    You should ensure that one and only one HO cause can be trigger in each situation.
