Shannon tells us that maximum bit rate that can be achieved on that channel.
Ok?

Nyquist says that number of sample you have to take to reconstruct your information at the receiver end?

Dear MKT! Our talk is talk about nothing. Before any coding you must have needs in that. There are many types of coding from initial analogue signal:
– sampling (Kotelnikov and Nyquist do it together);
– quantization of discrete samples (getting of “1” and “0” sequence);
– coding of source (Shannon does it or any other) for redundabcy removal;
– cryptographic coding for security;
– channel coding for channel error detection and correction.
