guys, we observed a very strange behavior in our network, by changing the T3212 value we observd significant rise in handover and RF drops, what could be the reasons?

As Bijoy is the most experienced, he has to answer this one. (Or maybe the vendor is Alca….) ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

I looked up at the starry night and I saw the pix-signal :))

There is no correlation between T3212 & call drops or ho… None at all… The T3212 would only impact SDCCH traffic (sd drops, sd duration, etc) and perhaps (in worst case) some obscure NSS indicators about paging failures or call setup failures.

It cannot impact a MS which is already in dedicated mode.

Perhaps evil forces are at work here ?

Have you tried putting the t3212 back to its previous value ? Are the KPIs better after that ?

If it were my network, I would strongly suspect that something else was changed too… at the same time the t3212 was changed ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Hi Guys ,,,

I have a problem in paging success ratio values in MSS ,it shows a low values in PSR,any one can give me the asset reason for this problem.

    – congestion somewhere (BSC processing or PCH on Air)
    – MS are out of coverage
    – MSC retransmits the second paging too early, or the first paging is getting a response a bit too late. (second paging = failure). If the network response time is long, that could happen (Abis over satellite, or Ater over satellite)

As far as my understanding goes T3212 counter is set for periodic lu and hence i dont think any change in this can impact your handover or RF Quality. The vale in my network is 45 mins.
please correct me if i am wrong

    i’m using alcatel lucent too…

you cannot set a value of 45mn.

    The unit is 6mn.
    45 * 6mn = 4h30.

    (trust me ๐Ÿ™‚ )

    regards
