Please check what is the value of CRH (Cell reselection hysteresis) You can increase this value say to 6 or 8dB for reducing ping pong cell reselections.

Sorry, Ali, but CRH is for inter-LA cell reselection only/

if cells belong to the same LAC, then increase the Temporary Offset & the Penalty Time in each cell.

Or if possible, redefine the cell borders (by adjusting antennas).

    Pan,

I just mis understood the term ‘cell boundry’. Confused it with with LAC boundry.

    Hi Fresher,

Ping-pong reselection can be caused by the lack of a dominant server(if you know what that is) in the area. Analyze your drivetest logfile and see if you can make some tilt changes for the cells concerned. Hope this helps.

    hi,

if the cells are in the same LAC try to adjust the value of CRO,
if the cells are in different LAC
try to adjust the value of CRH
    to avoid frequent cell reselection.

the CRO can work, but i will go with Sheldon, we need to have dominant server
