    hi MKT.
    thanx for your explanation.
i have one alarm on my BSC(NOKIA 3i),this alarm says that my definition of target cell in sorce BSC is invalid(ALARM NO=2725
    )
alreday i checked my database an fix this alarm but still a few of this alarm remain on my bsc.
    imagine this situation:
    serving cell:LAC=1511,MSC=MSCA
    target Cell:Lac=2511,MSC=MSCB
this alarm(2725) shows that a few handover that start from serving cell to target cell became fail (for reason of incorrect cell difinition of target cell in source bsc)
MY BSC IS NOKIA ANS TWO MSC ARE SIEMENS.
what happens when a handover routed from serving switch to target switch that handover fails?
meanwhile i check my External Lac in Two MSC and no problem exists.
please clarify me to fix this alarm.

You can do any of the following

    1.Delete and re-create these neighbours & check.
2.Upload the neighbours of both the cells

    Hi Alex,
The alarms in Nokia BSC3i are there for no reasons, sometimes.
    ex: BTS with no transactions

Just have a drive test of required cells.

Hope their you will find the exact reason for HO failure.

    Regards

    I doubt your analysis.
Though There are some alarms in Nokia which doesn’t get cleared automatically after the fault gets rectified.Such alarms have to be cleared manually, and they will never re-appear.
As far as “BTS with No Transaction” Alarm is concerned,it is not a false alarm at all.
