    Hi,

    BHCA means Busy Hour Call Attempt, but in GSM speaking which channels is involved, SDCCH channel (Signaling channel) or TCH channel(traffic channel)?

    I feel BHCA is convinient on MSC part of GSM network.For Airinterface & BSSAP the affected call processing parameters need to be separately addressed.

    Hi Cindy,

    BHCA is the total number of attempts that a device (i.e. a switch, BTS, BSC, etc.) receives in the busy hour.

    We commonly measure network traffic load during the busiest hour because this period represent the maximum traffic load that your network must support.

    Can anyone help describe how BHCA is typically measured and tested? Are there standard cases or scenarios for testing a device?

    thanks very much

    Hi

    BHCA = MOC + MTC

    MOC = Mobile Originating Call

    MTC = Mobile Terminating Call
