Hi everybody!

Now I am studing an ADSL network. But I have a great problem (Difficultly for me!). It is ADSL Traffic Design. Eg My ADSL network’s DSLAM will provide services to 200 Sub.(200 ADSL ports; I want to know how many E1 IMA will I need to connect from this DSLAm to BRAS.

What are parameters required when Calculting? if that you give me an example.

IMA – Inverse Multiplexing over ATM.
BRAS – Broadband Remote Access System

Popularly, the concentrating fator is 1:10 in IP network.So for 8M ADSL,E1 IMA=200*8M/(10*2M)=80
for 512K ADSL,E1 IMA=200*512K/(10*2M)=5
