    Hi all,

    Can somebody help me about how much attenuation coefficient (α) for fiber glass or plastic?

    I want to calculate attenuation / loss for antenna inside plastic or fiber glass.

    as i know the formula is:
    Attenuation[dB] = α[dB/(MHz*cm)]*l[cm]*f[MHz]

    –> i want to know how much the value for α ?

    thanks before for your response

    Some years ago I found a document, Electromagnetic Signal Attenuation in Construction Material, when I was looking for some information on signal attenuation. Search for NISTIR 6055 on the internet. This document was produced by the U.S. National Institude of Standards and Technology (NIST). I’m not sure if this is what you are looking for, but it might help you find what you are looking for.
