I have a question i.e. i am getting high figures of SDCCH block due to mobile access problem.
Can anybody tell me that which major KPI does it effect?
and whats the major reason of this if radio conditions are good at the cell.SDCCH Congestion will affect the KPI called “SDCCH assignment congestion rate” and the other one called “SDCCH ASSIGNMENT UNSUCCESS RATE”.
The “SDCCH Assignment Failure” rate is not impacted by congestion.
Problem of congestion is not linked to radio quality. It just means that too many users are requesting for a SDCCH. The cell capacity is too low.
Possible solutions:
– add one more SDCCH ts
– change one TCH ts into a dynamic SDCCH ts ( = SDD)
– share the traffic load to another neighbor cell (thanks to reselection parameters (cell reselection offset, cell reselection hysteresis))regards,
pixBut pix i am not talking about the SDCCH Congestion rate due to the unavailability of the resources. but i am talking about the SDCCH ASSIGNMENT FAILURE due to Mobile access problem..(couter is MC149 in Alcatel)
Well, you talked about SDCCH BLOCK, which means congestion.
So now, you talk about radio failure. Possible causes:
– bad coverage
– interference
– poor path balance
– ghost RACH
– same BCCH (or TCH) than the serving BCCH in the area
– Abis over satellite
– external interferer
