    Plz tell me when half rate is triggered…Is it when all timeslots on BCCH and TCH Trx are full?

    Hi,

    There is a treshold in % ( busy TS / all TS available )above which the new TCH assingment is HR.

    In Ericsson BSS there are 2 thresholds: one for allocating new calls on HR,and the other one for reconfiguration of existing calls in a cell on HR, when number of idle TS is lower than the value pointed with these thresholds.

    Manu, FRL&FRU are cell level thresholds, there are 2 more – HRL&HRU which are BSC level thresholds. If FRL&FRU are not set (100&0) then BSC level thresholds are used.
