    Hi,
recently we noticed that traffic measured in BSC is different with those in MSC. The diference is about 3000 erl in Network Level. What could be wrong? Anyone help!

3000 erlangs out of how many ?
The ringing phase (alerting) is using a radio TCH, but not yet a MSC resource (A interface channel).
    It’s probably coming from here.

6 seconds of alerting for an average call duration of 60 seconds –> 10% of traffic difference.

It should be less. MSC Traffic is bigger then BSC Traffic.

    it’s a difference of 2%…
it has to do with delays between allocation or deallocation of resources. In case your MSC “pre” allocates the TCH, then the MSC traffic might be bigger.

If the MSC waits for RTCH allocation first, then MSC traffic should be less…
check your the triggers for the counters that measure traffic.
