I’m in the process of establishing a PSTN based messaging application in Australia. I’m wanting to use CLI as the authentication method. One problem with cli authentication of the calling sub line, is that the party may have CLI blocking enabled, and such these users cannot be authenticated. I believe that there is a special provision for Carriers in Australia to access the CLI info. even if CLI blocking is enabled provided it is only used for authentication and billing ( and not presentation). Does any one have any further info on this????
