    i am working on a project on making abis interface of GSM network.i don’t have slightest idea what abis is just introductory knowledge of GSM.can anybody give me some resources reagrding that.

    The interface between BSC and the BTS is called as Abis interface. its hard to understand ur question…if ur using siemens BTS i can tell u how u calulate the number of trunks required on the Abis interface.

    Hi Mani,

    As Sudhir said it is an interface between BTS and BSC. Use Erlang formula to calculate the required resources for the subscribers.

    hello sir,
    I am doing project on GSM base station system interconnection via GEO satellite links.I have idea about “Abis & A” interfaces on wires like fibres,coppercables.my project is mainly on “Abis inteface and A-interface over geo satellites.analysing affects on speech quality and signal degradation by doing like that.
    can u give me the related links and information regarding that please.
