    According to the Erlang principle, we have:
    7TCH/TRX
    0,5Er/TCH
    It means that 1TRX = 3,5 Erlangs;

    Those principles permit us to dimension the BSS equipement.

    For exemple,
    1PCM = 1Ater = 30CIC
    1CIC = 0,88Er —> 1Ater = 22Er

    If we want to add 22Er trafic, we must add 1Ater in the BSC, 30CIC at the MSC side, and 1 PCM must be available for carring.

    hello ,all
    Plz can you help me to know how convert the traffic (GSM system ) to time and money ?
    if i have certain cell has 12 TCH so des. traffic (ERLB) table =6.615 and the carried traffic (real traffic)= 9.05 ERl in Busy hour how i can convert the traffic to time to claculate the money or the benefit

    hello,

    9.05 erlangs at the busy hour = 9h03 of calls (1erlang at busy hour is equivalent to 1h of voice calls)

    so now you have to multiply 9h03 (543 minutes) by your average cost per minute (ratio of postpaid and prepaid, etc…)

    good luck.
