    I have trouble with more 3G to 2G data drops. I added 3G to 2G neighbors, e2d looks fine, even drove that area couple of time couldn’t figure the problem. 3G to 2G voice call are doing good, it is just with data calls. If anyone has any recommendation please let me know.

    Hi all,
    Call drops in 3g can occur bcoz of many reasons. If is due to the RAN part so you need to make sure there is no pilot pollution when you are doing drive test. Also check the Ec/Io value. Normally call should go one even the Ec/Io is -18. Have a look at your link budget also. Which NodeBs are you using? Are you using TMAs on 3G?

    Hi Myke,
    There are many causes for High RRC Failures:-
    Failure due to Admission control
    Failures due to Handover control
    Problem in Hardware in NODE-B
    Problem with RNC

    Hi all,
    I am getting a problem like one party is hearing and other is not hearing in 3G voice( CS 12.2K) call.
    what might be the problem. Coverage Ok getting RSCP -80dBm, no VSWR alarms, etc CPICH power 33dBm.

    Hi RK,
    Check 3 scenarios
    1) the subscriber who is not hearing the voice is incoming call or outgoing call,
    if it is incoming call check in that site, do some voice calls to that site. and call from other site to that site. and call this site to neighbor site.i am expecting that the wmpt card may be fault.

    call drop may occur for different causes:
    * weak coverage
    * UL interference (RTWP)
    * Pilot Pollution
    * Missing neighbor cell (Handovers problems so Call drop occur)
    * unbalance UL and DL
    * Ping Pong Handovers
    * and there are also other abnormal reasons…
