    Dear All
    I have some doubts in channels. Plz let me know the meaning of the followings,

    >>SDCCH/8
    This is Stand-alone Dedicated Control Channel, but here waz the meaning of 8. Similar manner….

    >>SDCCH/4
    >>SACCH/C4
    >>SACCH/C8

    hello,

    if u’r BCCH type is non combined and one physical channel is defined for SDCCH, then you have 8 SDCCH’s (i.e. SDCCH/8).

    if the BCCH type is combined, then the BCCH and SDCCH share a single physical channel and only 4 SDCCH’s can be accomodated (SDCCH/4).

    C4 or C8 means that one of the subchannels is dedicated for Cell Broadcast (it’s a msg sent to all MS camping in the cell, such as advertisement, or news, it’s optional)

    Pix, once we consider C8, you mean this is belongs to 8th time slot of the SACCH……..?????????
