    Suppose 3 CHGRs are defined per cell.CHGR=0 is BCCH CHGR,CHGR=1 & CHGR=2 have a different Frequency Set(SFH).
As MAIO definition is depended on the number of TRXs per CHGR so:
How can we understand how many TRXs are defined in different CHGR?(By which command)

    Hi Ericsson Expats,

Suppose we have 3 channel group (CHGR) for a cell as below:
    CHGR 0 – ARFCN=5 (MAIO = Default)
    CHGR 1 – ARFCN= 30, 35 (MAIO = 0 1)
    CHGR 2 – ARFCN= 32, 38, 40 (MAIO = 0 1 2)

How the TRXs will hop ? And what does MAIO = Default ( this is for the BCCH )mean?
Can any 1 explain please? I am new in Ericsson system.

Another important thing I forgot to mention: “Hop” (hopping) is ‘on’ for all these three channel group.

    hi,
Do u have dual band?otherwise it will hop in chgr 1 and 2.chgr 0 always for bcch and it will not hop.

No, we don’t have dual band.

CHGR0 is always for the BCCH as I read also. But in our network configuration I found more then 1 frequency has been configured in CHGR0 and hop is enabled.

What will happen in that case?

Also I saw for a cell, there is only 1 channel group (CHGR0) and this channel group has 6 frequencies.
What will happen in that case also?
